The Massachusetts Teachers’ Retirement System (MTRS) seeks qualified candidates to join our dedicated team committed to helping teachers achieve a successful and secure retirement.

Charlestown Office:

  • Executive Director.
    The Executive Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the MTRS by working with the Board and the executive management team to establish and implement short and long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. The Executive Director oversees the daily operation of the agency to ensure effective and efficient benefits administration for the public elementary and secondary educators of the Commonwealth.

Orientation and training will take place at the MTRS office for approximately 90 days; after such time, new hires may be eligible for hybrid remote work. Currently, most MTRS employees work remotely up to three days per week.
