Tax filing deadlines extended to May 17, 2021Both the IRS and Massachusetts Department of Revenue have extended the 2021 Tax filing deadline to May 17, 2021. Please note, your MTRS benefits are not taxed by Massachusetts, but you may owe taxes if you live in another state. Be sure to check with your state of residence’s Department of Revenue for their 2021 Tax Filing deadlines.

MTRS offices are now open for limited walk-in services on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm and extended hours on Wednesdays from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
